Lux Lux Ltd was established in 1937 George J Waller & Co George J Waller & Co. is a family business which has been successfully established for approximately 50 years, manufacturing lace and braids for the underwear trade. Progressing then to knitwear for the British Wool Marketing Board, specialising in hand framed knitwear. In the mid eighty’s we purchased some RTR Knitting Machines to make fancy knit underwear garments successfully producing the complete garment. In the past we have supplied our own brand of underwear to a wide range of customers through agents selling to South America, Middle East along with small shop multiples in the UK, also wholesalers direct and large retailers such as Mackays, La Senza and John Lewis. We also supply mail order to J D Williams, Damart and Littlewoods with their own selected brands. In 2001 George J Waller & Co. were unfortunate to suffer a major factory fire. With the supporting help of a fellow manufacturer and the loyal support of our customers we were able to weather the fire and continue to manufacture and supply. Since then we have relocated and purchased a previously successful brand name ‘Lux Lux’, from Evesden Ltd. George J Waller & Co. previously manufactured ‘Lux Lux’ garments for Evesden prior to the purchase of the brand name. We successfully sell this product via Internet from a stock service, mail order. George J Waller & Co’s. objectives are to reintroduce the ‘Lux Lux’ brand to the High Street through large Department Stores. In addition to promoting our core products Cotton Thermal Wool Nylon Fancy Knit Underwear. |
